inFeedo is a small startup by a 21- year old college passes out. Tanamaya Jain started inFeedo in the year 2013. This project is an employee feedback platform that most of the people oriented company employees have been working with. The primary motive to develop this platform was to crowdsource ideas and solve problems from teams across cities and in-house.
The founder says that more than 5,000 employees across companies have been using inFeedo as their feedback platform. Also, inFeedo have been outperforming even Microsoft’s Yammer. Employees have preferred to work with inFeedo even over Yammer and Slack. When it comes to their comparison, Slack is an ‘internal communication platform.’
Yammer is ‘an enterprise social network.’ On the other hand, it is an industry employee feedback and platform to improve the work culture. inFeedo does not involve social elements such as chat or gossip, it will, in fact, integrate with both Slack and Yammer very soon.
Although the market already had a social networking site called Yammer by Microsoft itself. Yammer had been probably the most promising platform for such an idea. Still, Tanamaya’s inFeedo grabbed attention in the corporate sector, and people started paying for it.
The Roadblocks
Initial funding was not a challenge for Tanamay as had managed to pull in capital from former Google India Operations Head, Palash Jain. Plash is also Tanamaya’s father. This was just beginning, Tanamay then came across Akshay Khetrapal for a casual meeting joined him as a full-fledged developer for inFeedo.
The second challenge they faced was Product Market Fit. They felt they can be in trouble firing all their cylinders in the initial stages. Also moving forward, the company CEO’s hesitated to give an 18- year old money for a product they have never heard about. After following multiple pivots over the time of two years, inFeedo finally got its first paid client in 2015, Groupon India (Now Nearby).
