The team behind the product consist of four people- Ankur Aggarwal, Dalvir Suri, Kabeer Biswas, and Mukund Jha. The product came into existence in the year 2015. The motive behind this application was to solve broad local discovery and fulfillment problem of their customers.

 

The application allows its users to create a “To Do List” and it also consists of a chat based interface. The platform helps users to collaborate with the service providers or vendors to strike out the task from their list.

The platform currently focuses on four main business categories- shipping packages, repairing stuff, buying and home services. It offers a 24*7 service and claims to have different use cases with requests to fix clocks, buy computers or other gifts, getting shattered smartphones screen repaired and much more.

The platform earns by taking commission, which is a percentage of the amount of the product or service rendered for each transaction that the user completes through dunzo from the different service providers. The team believes that by focusing on the consumer’s needs, they can assist them in completing the whole task. The team claims that the product has grown rapidly since last year when it came in the market. It has reached a monthly rate of 10,000 transactions since then.

The founders believe that dunzo is an efficient platform that bridges the gap between small service providers to the larger formal markets. The platform exposes such industries by delivering a good customer experience and significant income improvements to the small service providers.

The Mobile Sector

With the world gone mobile, people rarely open their web browsers for service they need. Many products have gain popularity with this approach of offering services to the users via a mobile application. Business is grabbing customers through interactive chat platforms such as Facebook’s virtual assistant for Messenger ‘M’.

With the popularity of such platforms, dunzo aims to bring services to the customers by connecting them to the local service providers. This idea has also grabbed interests of many investors. The team claims to earn $650k funding from large investors such as Blume Ventures and Aspada.

The team is planning to expand its boundaries to many cities in the coming future. The team wishes to make a firm grip. It is also planning to aim the critical industrial sectors and make their product flawless.
