Dashboard

The Ace Project dashboard is one of the most powerful project management dashboards in the market. It mentions details about all the tasks assigned to you at a central location. The screen also shows timer for the tasks that need to be started soon, tasks that are ready to start, tasks that are soon due, and tasks that are overdue. The dashboard further shows project details on time, projects, expenses, and marked custom reports. The search tasks option on the top of the window allows you to search for projects within the account.

Creating Projects 

Adding a project is a simple task with the Ace Project. All you need to do is simply click on the “+” icon, the top bar in the dashboard. This is a quick add button, which lets you create your first project through some simple steps. Projects can be created using provided templates or your own customized project. Then you need to fill all the entries of the project such as number, name, and description. The tool further allows you to add details in different categories such as Settings, Budget, Estimates, Actuals, etc. Finally, clicking on the Save button will create your first project.

Adding a Task

A project is further subdivided into tasks and subtasks. You can add them by first selecting your project from the My Assigned Projects section. The Add Task option from the top right corner will take you to a window that will allow you to add details for the new task. You can add an optional number to the task and give it a small summary. You can also add more details about the project in the details section. Tasks can also be assigned with start and end dates to set project milestones. You can also drag and drop files to the task and add a quick comment on the task.

Adding Users

Project Managers can easily add new users to the projects. For this, the quick add button on the top bar lets you add users. Clicking on this button will open a new window that will allow you to fill in details of the new user.

Gantt Chart

The Gantt chart shows the progress of the project spread across the time schedule. The left pane shows the name of all the projects along with their start and end dates. The chart gives you options to view the project progress daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. You can also add a new project by clicking on the “Add a Project” button on the top right corner of the screen.
